Getting rd88 keys and fantom sounds, for peanuts? Hard to believe... 😢 Oh marketing...

Every company copies other company's iconic products (in hardware or software form) and they don't do it for cheap ... So why hating only on Behringer that provides us for a much better price?

Any thoughts about CK88 versus YC88? About features and sounds?

The arturia keylab mkII and the Roland DS88 are the ideal starters. Because of the resale value and the inspiration these products bring they are the ideal starterpacks. Anything less... is less....

I got one a few days ago. Long time player, and I own a 10 years old Yamaha stage Piano that sounds great, but I love this thing. The firmware still needs some improvement, though. First, I noticed a bug when you record a midi song and try to rename it, the recording breaks down. But more importantly, I would really love to be able to assign the 5 custom sounds to every scene instead of just as a general setting. That would make the keyboard much more usable live.

The Rhodes LA Custom Stereo Phaser is best feel Yea it's amazing any keyboard you play on, the feel is there and sound but this video timing of me watching it is crazy for the fact I was just pricing Nord's Thinking of replacing my Motif since I don't play live anymore but I don't hear $5,000.00 difference but If was still playing live I take the Nord wiith a laptop

Is this one better than the cts500?

I own 2 Stage 4 88's and a YC61. I tried the YC88 but ran into a big problem. The YC was on top and the Nord was underneath it. I would play the Yamaha and then the Nord. The Nord's sound is hard to explain. It's like no other. It sounds so good. The Yamaha sounds like going from a 48K mixer to a 96K mixer. I have a Stage 3, Stage 2, Nord Wave, Nord Electro 5D and I have stuck by Nord because of the ease of use on stage and the sound. At the end of the day it about the sound. I run all my keyboards through and Focusrite ISA 2, Ashley mixer, Warm Audio Bus comp. Then out to a Presonus Temblor sub and up to a Spacetion V.3. I have never heard a better combo and I have tried everything. Thanks for making me laugh. Jack is an awesome player and does great demos.

Great video, great channel, great keyboard players... Congrats Andertons. That`s my dream to have this keyboard, I get goosebumps every time I hear those synth sounds. Saving money to buy one. I'll come back here to say when I get mine.

It really wasn't clear from this review whether we were hearing the sound of each keyboard direct/line out the or whether we were hearing the sound of the onboard speakers mic'd up. I know at one point it says that we are now hearing the 'sound of Jack's lapel microphone', but how about before that? Like in the intro? The p225 has taken a lot of heat for it's new rear facing speakers, and I've heard other videos where they definitely compare unfavorably to the p125s top facing speakers. However, in this video there is not much of a huge difference. P125 sounds a bit brighter, p225 a bit darker but nothing major. But then again, I'm not sure what I'm listening to because it's not clear from the description.

Wow. If I had this 10 years ago I would be so motivated to learn the keyboard. The sounds on my old Yamaha were really "toyish"

Well played as usual, but this is kind of a nonsense video since the ideal Rhodes sound is what kind of sound you aim for. Despite that most of them are nice to play apart from the horrible Roland one /my preference). For anyone buying some new keys you should ask yourself what sound are you after?? Should it sound like E model from LA rentals, Herbie Hancocks Head hunters album, Chic Coreas light as a feather, Stevies sounds in the key of life or some churchy bell likedigital DX inspired 80s Yamaha stuff. Or perhaps you just wan't it to stand out in a mix on stage. Go to a well sorted store and try them out. If you get a montage you can get Chic Coreas MK5 samples, if you get a Nord you can quickly apply effects to some really different sounding Rhodes pianos)you can shape the sound to sound similar to keyscape, however you will not get the dynamics ....if you like keyscape, also have a look at Scarbees Classic EP-88. Or get a used Rhodes, or perhaps one of the new offerings from Rhodes or Vintage Vibe.

Why didn't they put a MIDI port or even USB host? It would have been so nice to use that with a groove box. And a few knobs to tweak the sounds...

Really good video. Bought this from the ‘Guildford store. Have to say that service was excellent but there was a perhaps a lack of detailed knowledge about the various keyboards. The folks presenting evidently don’t work at the store. But great service. It’d an amazing keyboard. Only downside is the down facing speakers. But it’s remarkable value for money. The Bluetooth is useful. The chord display is incredibly helpful!! Tried most keyboards in the shop between £600-£1500 and this was absolutely the clear winner in terms of value proposition. Keys are lovely and fairly heavy too. Yamaha so light.
